Eastern Shore and Green Hill split home and home matches during the 2nd Annual Delmarva Cup

Saturday, August 6, 2011 - Green Hill Yacht & Country Club won 20 - 14 in the second match of this best of 3 series.  The two clubs will meet at Sussex Pines in Georgetown, Delaware to decide the annual match.


Saturday, July 23, 2011 - Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club won the first match of the Best of 3 Interclub Match with Green Hill Yacht & Country Club 18 - 12.  Eastern Shore showed a true team effort with six golfers contributing points.  Mike Callender of Green Hill led the match with 7 points total.

Upcoming Club Championship this Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13th
The Club Championship will be contested using a 36 hole medal play format.  Golfers under age 65 will compete for the Club Championship from the Blue Tee Markers.  2010 Champion Russ Mosher will attempt to repeat his 5 stroke victory over 2009 champion Henley Sandidge.  Golfers aged 65 to 79 will compete from the Green Tees and for the Senior Club Championship.  Golfers 80 and older will play the Gold Tees for the Super Senior Club Championship.

Joe McQuaid Memorial Junior Golf Events

The next junior event is Saturday, August 20th at 3 PM.  Event is open to children aged 4 - 18.  Parents are asked to caddie or ride along with children under age 12.  Ages 4 - 6 will play from the Blue Family Tee Course.  Ages 7 - 9 will play from the Gold Family Tee Course.  Boys aged 10 - 12 and girls 10 and older will play from the Red Tees.  Boys 13 and older will play the White Tees.  Event is open to nonmembers with a $7.50 greens fee.  Please call the Golf Shop to sign up for this event.
