This Sunday, the Memorial Day Golf Tournament will tee off at 1:30 PM.  Lunch will be served prior to golf. All full members are welcome to participate.  There will be a ABCD flight and an Open flight.

Mark Hisert and Kevin Cloud will play a golf marathon on Tuesday, May 31, 2011
100+ holes is the goal.  All proceeds will support Mark Hisert's PGA Education Fund and the Shore Junior Golf Tour.  Donations may be made as a flat rate, by the hole, or per par, birdie, or eagle.  Spectators are encouraged to come out and watch.

Morning session will include Golf, Tennis, and Swimming from 9-12.  Friday's session will conclude with a Pizza Party and Awards Ceremony.  Morning session open to kids aged 6-14.
Afternoon session is Advanced Golf Instruction.  Session runs from 1-3 each day.  Open to kids aged 12 - 18.  Cost for a session is $75.  On Saturday, kids will be asked to invite an adult for a adult-child golf day from 12-5.
Central Connecticut State University Women's Golf Coach Paula Cloud will help instruct Junior Camp this year.


LGA Hosts Strike 3 Tournament
Tuesday, May 24, 17 women participated in a Strike 3 tournament.  Peggy Tilghman won the 18 holf division gross prize.  Carolyn Davis and Charlotte Edmonds tied for the 18 hole net prize.  In the nine hole division, Lynne Calvert won the Gross award and Elaine Kaiser and Christine Petersen tied for the net.  The next event is June 14th at 9:00 AM with the Criss Cross.

Tie for 1st in the Men's Tuesday Night Golf Event
Tuesday, May 24, 21 men participated in Men's Golf event.  The format was a 3 Person Scramble. At 3 under par 32, the teams of Josh Taylor, Gary Ginsberg, and Harrison Wehner, and Barney Selph, Ned Ames, and Wayne Browning  won first prize.  The next event is Wednesday, June 1st at 5:30 PM.

The Koenigs defeated 12 other couples in the Scramble/ Alternate Shot format to win the Gross Prize.  Dick Hansen and Lori Ridington won the net prize.  The next event is Friday, May 27th at 5:30 PM.

13 Compete in 2nd 9 & Wine Event
Wednesday, May 25, 2011- 13 ladies compete in the 2nd weekly 9 & Wine event.  The winning team of Carolyn Davis, Lynne Calvert, and Diane Verity shot 40 to win by 2 shots.  The next event is Wednesday, June 1st at 5:30 PM.
